How to Find a Trustworthy Casino
Most people enjoy some gambling from time to time. Others enjoy it more and play very often. Whether youre the occasional gambler or a seasoned veteran, one of the most important choices youll have to make is where you want to play.
Today, there are thousands of casinos all around the world, and thousands more online. Not all of those casinos, however, are completely trustworthy. So, Ive constructed this guide to help you learn how to find a trustworthy casino to play at.
1. Do Research
Once youve selected a few online casinos that look good to you, its time to do some research. You can do this in several ways. One way is to use the casinos name.
For example, if you were researching 777 casino, then youd want to type 777 review or something similar into your search bar. Alternatively, you can find the name of the company that actually runs the casino (its usually different than the casino name).
You can do this by reading the About Us page, or scrolling down to the bottom of the homepage and seeing what the copyright symbol says.
Next, search for company name scams/reviews/etc in Google, and see what you can find.
I created a favorite list of online casinos, along with a rating and a review.
2. Watch for Deals that are Too Good
When you sign up for an online casino, youll usually be offered some pretty generous bonuses. Generally, you will at least receive a deposit bonus on your first cash deposit. The amount you will be matched varies, but its usually between 50-500% of your deposit.
What you need to do is determine which casinos seem to offer too much. Usually, the more ridiculous the bonus is, the lower-quality the casino is.
High quality casinos dont have to offer huge bonuses in order to attract customers.
3. Check Certifications
All online casinos should have at least some sort of certification from a recognized authority. eCOGRAis one of the main gambling regulation organizations around. Most of the time, if eCOGRA has certified a casino, that casino will display their seal on the homepage or somewhere thats seen a lot.
If you cannot find a seal, try checking the eCOGRA website, where you can find a list of all their approved casinos and ecommerce sites.
4. Ask Around
If you have friends or family that gamble online, they will be an excellent resource in helping you choose a good casino.
Talk to anyone you know who does online gambling, and see what they think of the companies they have worked with. Usually theyll be able to tell you a good amount of information about the company itself, the games offered, the payouts, terms and conditions, etc.
5. Use Common Sense
Most scams are extremely easy to spot to the trained eye. Keep your eyes open, and notice things that seem out of place.
For instance, if you come across a supposedly large online casino that has a horrible website design, you should instantly be worried.
After all, if they really were such a big casino, dont you think theyd be able to pay for a good website design?
